The Summarising Strategy - Week 4

When writing a summary, keywords can give people ideas and they also give information.

When you write a summary it can be about anything. 

Keywords help write sentences so you don't plagiarise (copy someone else work ), if you do, you might go to jail  for it.

Example  
Here are three key words about a moa:
Bird, moa and extinct


Here is an example of a sentence: 
A moa is a bird, it is extinct.

Bush Moa.

Maths - Week 3

In our class room we have been doing measurement, we have been using match sticks (not fire match sticks).
We had to make our name out of 50 match sticks, here is how my name looked when I had finished it. 

Our learning was to measure accurately, we needed a starting point and a finishing point.

Pandas are a very rare type of species.  They are mostly found in China, here is what a panda looks like

Guinea Pigs - Week 1

I am going to get you... 

This is marshmallow. Isn't he cute and cuddly?

                    Here is a guinea pig that looks like my one and his name is Ice.   He is so cute.

I have only got one that looks like the one on the right.  

I have to feed them in the morning and give them some water every day after school.  I need to spend lots of time with them and clean them twice a week and take them for walks to stretch their little legs and so they get lots of exercise size. 

My Swimming Reflection.

I learned how to… float on my back and turn side to side to breathe.

Something I found challenging was…floating on my back.

At the end of the year I would like to improve on…treading water.

Mrs Miller, Mr Kenny or Mrs Lowe could help me by…I liked every thing that we did.

The best part about swimming was...getting to use the life jacket .

Ormie the greedy pig

We watched a movie called Ormie the pig, I think this is how it ended.

Ormie the pig had to jump out of the plane in 3 minutes.
321 go. 
Ormie jumped out of the plane really fast so he could get his cookies. He landed head first on the fridge and then he slipped off, so he went to get something else to use.
Next minute he came back with a ... bull and they ran into the fridge, but the bull just got a headache.
So Ormie decided  that he would get a moon hopper,  but he was too heavy for it and it popped!
